Beales Hotels can trace their roots back over 250 years when John Beale, Master Baker, moved his business to Oxford Street in London. The Beale family diversified into catering in 1889 with the establishment of Beales Restaurant in Holloway. Having sold the premises in 1969, the 6th generation of Beales steered the business onto its present course; hospitality, with the development of hotels, West Lodge Park in Hadley Wood and Beales Hotel in Hatfield.
Beales is a contemporary 4 star hotel catering for a wide selection of clients and functions. To maintain their modern catering facility Gratte Brothers Catering Equipment was instructed to undertake 2 planned preventative maintenance visits each year.
There is one kitchen on site, which contains a variety of serviced equipment such as; Rational combi-ovens, induction and gas fired ranges, fryers, upright refrigeration by Fosters and Precision, plus wash and ware stations. It fulfils all the catering requirements of the hotel, including; the in-room requirements of the guests, staying in any of the 53 bedrooms; the three services provided by the OutsideIn Restaurant and the events held in the many conference areas of the hotel.
The maintenance of the equipment therefore requires a fast response from the inducted Engineers. This challenge is exacerbated by the fact that Beales Hotel is open throughout the year, offering events during traditional corporate shutdowns. Gratte Brothers provide a 24-hour Call Desk with On-Call Service Engineers to ensure continuity during these periods.
