From the 1st of April 2024, Remi Suzan will step into Gratte Brothers Limited’s Managing Director role.
This change follows Iain Thomson’s decision to step back after 10 years as Managing Director of Gratte Brothers Limited but he will remain with the company as Chairman.
Having been part of the Gratte Brothers fold for 20 years, Managing Director Remi Suzan will ensure the business continues to deliver the high standard expected by clients and with the company in a strong position, no radical changes will be made to the operations or output. However, under his leadership, Remi’s passion for growing talent, engineering competency, digitalisation, pre-fabrication and building our sustainable credentials will be paramount.
Iain Thomson, Chairman, Gratte Brothers Limited said, “Remi and I have worked together over the last 5 years to manage this transition, it is with great confidence that I hand over the reins to a leader with such a positive and forward-looking vision for the company.”
With the industry currently suffering from an undoubtable skills gap, Remi is keen to tackle this and bring forward a new generation of construction workers with a developed understanding of M&E.
Engineering competency across the whole business is another key driver as is continuing the digitalisation of Gratte Brothers, with Construction Act Compliance in mind to ensure maximum efficiency across the business.
Having pioneered Gratte Brothers’ pre-fabrication strategy, Remi will also continue to push off-site manufacturing thanks to the numerous safety, programme, cost and overall project benefits it brings.
In addition, an honest approach to sustainability takes priority, looking at solutions within the business, on projects and within the supply chain that ensures a balance is struck between the lowest possible operational carbon and genuine reductions in embodied carbon of products installed.
