Mental Health Initiative Launched On Site

This month we’re launching a new initiative on site to help support the mental health and wellbeing of operatives on site. The idea was suggested by GBL Senior Site Manager Ahmet Hassani, and developed in partnership with our Sustainability Manager Niamh Spurle, the Main Contractor on site and contractors based on the 21 Moorfields project.

The initiative works via a unique QR code, distributed on posters across the site, that when scanned allows individuals from any company to contact the Mental Health First Aid Team confidentially.

Our hope is that this collaboration will provide vital support and a stepping-stone towards professional resources for anyone who may be facing personal issues and by promoting its existence; we hope to open up and inspire conversations as well as initiatives alike across the industry.

This initiative’s success cannot be quantified in terms of numbers and if we can help even one individual then our objective will be met. We hope that in the future, we will be able to roll out the initiative and collaborate with others to spread this important message!
