At Gratte Brothers Group, we recognise that mental health is just as important as physical health. That’s why we’re excited to announce the launch of our new comprehensive mental health policy, to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week 2024.

This policy underscores our commitment to supporting the mental wellbeing of our workforce through a variety of initiatives, resources, and benefits. Investing in our employees’ overall health will lead to a happier, more productive, and more engaged workforce.

Key Components of Our Mental Health Policy:

1. Training and Support for Mental Health: We are dedicated to training Mental Health Responders and Mental Health First Aiders who will offer assistance and support to employees experiencing mental health issues, guiding them to the appropriate care.

2. Awareness and Opportunities for Wellbeing: Our policy emphasizes raising awareness and providing opportunities for employees to take care of their mental wellbeing, ensuring everyone has the resources and knowledge to maintain their mental health.

3. Proactive Monitoring and Risk Management: We will actively monitor the workplace to identify potential hazards and risks, taking necessary steps to eliminate or reduce them as much as possible to create a safer and healthier environment.

4. Effective Communication and Resource Allocation: Ensuring good communication between management and staff, especially during organizational changes, and providing the necessary resources and training to perform their jobs effectively are top priorities.

5. Support and Continuous Improvement: We are committed to supporting staff returning to work after a period of absence due to mental health problems and continuously improving our policies and practices to promote overall wellbeing.

This policy marks a milestone for Gratte Brothers Group, bringing something that has until now been an unwritten culture into a concrete policy in its own right. We look forward to continuing to provide support to those who need it and nurturing a culture that looks out for one another.
