The sun was shining, the atmosphere was buzzing, and the smell of curry filled the Waterside Restaurant at our King’s Cross HQ – it could only have been The Big Curry Lunch 2025! Last week, Gratte Brothers | Security Systems & Software (GBSM) once again had the honour of hosting the much-loved annual fundraiser on behalf of the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals, in support of The Army Benevolent Fund.
This year’s event was made even more enjoyable by the brilliant weather! Guests arrived in high spirits, with many continuing the tradition of meeting at The Thornhill for a pre-curry refreshment and a long-awaited catch-up with friends and colleagues from across the security industry.
The delicious menu – expertly delivered by resident chef from Leeming Pilkington, James Brooks & team – offered something for everyone, with fan favourites like Chicken Tikka Masala, warming Dhal, and a range of tasty sides, all washed down with plenty of Cobra. But beyond the food and festivities, the true heart of the event lay in its purpose: raising vital funds to support soldiers, veterans, and their families.
Once everyone had finished their lunches, Mike Rousell and WCoSP’s Master, Susan Jones, delivered speeches and a prize-giving to mark the occasion and show our gratitude to those who helped make the event happen (see the pictures below!).
We’d like to extend our sincerest thanks to everyone who attended, donated, or helped make the event happen. Your generosity has a direct impact on the lives of those helped by The Soldiers’ Charity, and we’re proud to continue this important tradition.
