The installation included food and drinks servery counters for the main restaurant and coffee shop, as well as a coffee and drinks dispense bar. New butchers’ refrigerated display counters, cooking equipment and walk-in cold and freezer rooms were included within the works as well as food preparation areas. The largest butchers’ counters were nearly 4-metres long and totalled over 12-metres once joined together!
The garden centre remained open to the public throughout the project. The works were completed across four different areas of the site, so the engineers had to move themselves, the equipment and materials around without disrupting customers and whilst ensuring works remained on schedule. All large deliveries were scheduled before the centre opened to further remove disruption to the garden centre’s operations.
