Nightingale Hammerson is a registered charity that has been serving London’s Jewish community for over 175 years. Nursing care for the elderly is provided over two sites, Hammerson House in Hampstead Garden Suburb (currently being redeveloped) and Nightingale House in Clapham.
Gratte Brothers has a long-established relationship with the client to maintain the landlord services at Nightingale House. Gratte Brothers schedules plant tour visits, checks standby power arrangements, ductwork cleanliness, lightning protection, portable appliance testing, low-temperature hot water boilers etc.
Naturally, working within a care home requires an especially sensitive approach. The site is the first facility of its kind in the UK to run joint activities between the elderly care residents of Nightingale House and the children of the Apples and Honey Nursery on site. When scheduling full power down tests or conducting project works within the grounds, close communication with both facilities is essential.
Gratte Brothers appreciates that works are taking place in a person’s home and as such, a heightened level of privacy is required. To ensure this, Gratte Brothers only assigns specified engineers who’ve been formally inducted and acquainted with the needs of the site.
