One of our furloughed employees, Mike, signed up in April as an NHS volunteer in his region. Mike is a Business Support Manager and has worked for Gratte Brothers for 14 years. Over the last few weeks he has been delivering Resuscitation Units, Ventilators and PPE to local hospitals, transporting blood samples and platelets for testing and taking medical supplies into Intensive Care Units. Mike commented, ‘I have to do my bit as lots of others are doing, it’s the least I can do.’
We look forward to the time when we can welcome Mike back to his normal role but in the meantime the company want to recognise the invaluable and selfless contribution he is making to his local community during this pandemic by naming him as the first recipient of our newly introduced Community Champion Awards.
