Gratte Brothers Promotes Women in Engineering

  • Social Value,
  • All

This month, Gratte Brothers staff gave their annual presentation at The Royal Masonic School for Girls Apprenticeship Evening. We provided information on engineering opportunities and the career paths available through the company.

We currently have 20 Trade Apprentices, 3 Trainee Project Engineers and an Estimating Apprentice working at Gratte Brothers and we are happy to showcase the range of Apprenticeships, Internships, Business Trainee and Graduate programmes and associated work/study options that we can offer.

We have become increasingly aware of the gender imbalance in our industry and the significant challenges that we face in addressing this concern. Our aim is to encourage more women to consider engineering as a viable career choice and therefore we are focusing our schools programme and expanding our recruitment channels to attract females.

We’re proud to be a diverse and inclusive family business and whilst we recognise that reducing this imbalance will take time, we are committed to building a more balanced workforce.
