Challenge
Canada Goose, a globally recognised luxury outerwear and lifestyle brand, needed a modern security solution that aligned with their strong sustainability values. Their previous setup relied on traditional on‑site video storage, demanding substantial physical infrastructure and high energy usage.
They also required a consistent, scalable security system across multiple European locations, including Amsterdam, Paris, Milan and London, with the ability to monitor sites remotely without compromising security.
Operationally, store teams also needed faster fault diagnosis and reduced disruption, all while navigating varying EU security regulations and tailoring the approach country by country.
We were recommended to Canada Goose via the equipment manufacturer, Verkada, who recommended us a UK integrator.
Strategy
The overarching strategy was to support Canada Goose’s sustainability goals while modernising their security infrastructure.
By shifting away from energy‑intensive on‑premise hardware, the focus was on a cloud‑based model that minimised environmental impact, increased efficiency, and supported long‑term scalability.
Approach
The project began with the deployment of a fully cloud-based security system across Canada Goose’s European locations, including Amsterdam, Paris, Milan and London. This shift removed the need for local servers entirely, resulting in a significantly reduced environmental footprint and a more modern infrastructure. The new setup also introduced centralised remote management, allowing teams to monitor sites, diagnose issues and carry out maintenance without the need for onsite interventions.
To ensure consistency, the team designed a scalable architecture that could be easily replicated for new stores or future refurbishments, creating a template that supports long-term expansion. Deployments typically took one to two weeks and were closely coordinated with Canada Goose’s construction partners. Throughout the process, the team also navigated country-specific regulatory requirements, adapting the system as needed to ensure full compliance in each location.
Result
- Reduced environmental footprint by eliminating energy-heavy local video storage.
- Strengthened operational continuity through rapid remote fault diagnosis.
- Enabled flexible, secure access for teams globally.
