Making Existing Security Infrastructure Work Harder
A new security requirement doesn’t always mean starting again. Our consultancy and design process can include reviewing existing security infrastructure and identifying where assets can be retained, modified or incorporated into a new solution.
At Amnesty International’s London headquarters, for example, our team surveyed the existing security installation before designing new CCTV, intruder detection and access control systems for the reconfigured building. Our proposed cable-management solution enabled existing cabling to be reused for the new CCTV system, while existing turnstiles were modified to accommodate the new access control readers. This reduced disruption within the occupied buildings while meeting the client’s new security requirements.

Sometimes an off-the-shelf product doesn’t quite meet the brief. Our design-led approach enables us to work collaboratively with clients, manufacturers and technology partners to develop solutions around specific operational challenges.
We collaborated with Landsec to deliver a bespoke fully integrated security solution for One New Change – a large, complex mixed-use development spanning 560,000 sq ft. Combining CCTV, access control, speed lanes and visitor management, the system was tailored to the building’s unique operational requirements. More than 200 IP cameras and 180 access-controlled doors were pre-configured, alongside a dedicated tenant web portal and purpose-designed control room, creating a centralised security infrastructure capable of supporting effective monitoring and access management across the site.
