Services installed included low-voltage (LV) switchgear, low-voltage busbar, the building management system (BMS) and an electrical power management system (EPMS) which allows the building’s occupiers to manage capacity and visualise how electricity is distributed throughout the premises.
Due to the operational nature of the building, the fit-out of the data halls involved planning shutdowns to suit existing customers without causing impact and the project’s tight programme also required the team to overcome a number of logistical challenges such as the requirement of equipment with long lead times. The project team overcame these challenges by closely planning and staggering deliveries and also successfully turned around a number of alterations at late notice with minuscule effect on the project programme.
