To coincide with the new financial year 2023, we are proud to be unveiling a new name for Gratte Brothers Specialist Services.

We will henceforth be known as Gratte Brothers Building Services Maintenance (GBBSM).

This comes as part of the Gratte Brothers Group’s wider refresh project, which will see the Group’s identity benefit from a bit of ‘planned maintenance’. Our name change comes as we continue in our pursuit of maintaining excellence and is one of the first steps in the new brand rollout for the Group—we hope you’re as fond of it as we are.

Managing Director, Barney Whiting, has shared the following comment on our update:

“As we evolve as a business, the GBBSM Board and I felt it necessary to review our company name to make sure it authentically reflects our scope and capabilities. While our services remain specialised, we believe that Building Services Maintenance is a more accurate and descriptive summary of what we do. This review aligns with one of the Group’s core values of continual improvement, and we look forward to continuing to improve on our renowned reputation in providing work of the highest quality to our esteemed clients.”

In providing both planned and reactive maintenance, our overall scope covers the repair and replacement of all existing systems (including Mechanical, Electrical and Public health (MEP) requirements). We feel that ‘Building Services Maintenance’ more accurately summarises our scope in this respect. As a division, we of course retain our access to the wider in-house resources of the Group, providing a unique and integrated building services offering, should the client need it.

Unlike other competitors, we benefit from being large enough to handle bigger projects but small enough to retain the agility needed to offer customers a truly tailored service. Based in King’s Cross, these services cover London and the Southeast, ranging from mobile maintenance arrangements through to multi-resident site contracts. Our contract customers also have peace of mind in the form of an emergency call-out service which operates 24/7, 365 days per year.

We look forward to delivering the same expertise you knew and loved from Gratte Brothers Specialist Services under our new name, and hope you’ll join us in welcoming this next chapter for our brand.
