A reconfiguration of the space was required to better suit the client’s operations and Gratte Brothers Security Management was instructed to decommission the existing security system and design and install a new CCTV, IDS and ACS control system to suit the new layout of the building.
Works were undertaken over a 6-month programme in two buildings connected via a link bridge. The plant room was located on the roof and the building was occupied throughout the works. In order to minimise disruption, Gratte Brothers surveyed the existing installation and proposed a cable management solution, which ensured that the new CCTV system could utilise existing cabling.
In keeping with this approach, the client also wished to integrate a new access control system. To make this possible, Gratte Brothers modified the existing turnstile units to receive access control readers, drastically reducing disturbance to the lobby area.
